HDMI 2 VGA cable

Good Day! I also having diffulty using the generic HDMI to VGA cable (not the converter).

When i use the HDMI2VGA cable on a ACER (without the HDMI cable provided) the 3meter VGA cable to LCD projector is working so fine, but when i use the 10m to 15m long, the LCD projector is not working.

When I use the ACER with HDMI 2 VGA adapter provided in the laptop, the 10m to 15 long VGA cable is working so fine.

Im just curios, whats with the ACER HDMI 2 VGA adapter compare to Generic HDMI 2 VGA adapter... hmmm

a powered hdmi switch will boost it or better cables...

mean to say my HDMI2VGA would be only usable in a short vga cable like 3m - 5m? other than that i will really buy that switch??

is there anything i can do in the laptop settings??

having problem with my generic hdmi to vga adapter, one of our teacher has a ASUS HDMI to VGA adapter from her ASUS laptop, one teacher has this mini HDMI to VGA from Apple using his IPAD3 and Mini for his presentation and they have no problem with it.

So that why am asking if it is possible to alter the laptop config just to use my generic HDMI to VGA adapter... to my 10m - 15m VGA cable connected to LCD projector
