Hello all, first post on the forums. Any help will be greatly appreciated:

I have the following setup and tested (working) but need help with audio inputs to TV:

1) Use chromecast to cast desktop from PC to TV (in separate rooms of my house)

2) Using HDMI input on TV, I can see and hear my desktop while controlling it on a tablet with teamviewer (specifically I'm casting a karaoke software so audio/video sync is important, which it is currently)

So the question is:

Upon connecting microphones to my TV via an audio mixer with mic amps (1/4" microphone inputs with RCA audio output), will I be able to hear my inputs on the TV speakers if my TV is set to an HDMI input from chromecast?

TV in question is LG LB5550 if it matters.

Much thanks in advance!

I can't say for certain because I've never used your specific TV model, but it is very unlikely to work. The standard for TVs and other audio receivers is to play sound from only one source at a time. You will be able to have either the hdmi sound or the rca sound play but not both.

You can work around this by plugging the microphone amp directly into a soundbar or cheap set of speakers.

Not likely.

You can contact LG support or just hook everything and test it but typically a TV does not allow you mux a digital source (chormecast via hdmi) and an analog source (the mic input via rca) at the same time.

You will likely just need to have a separate speaker for the karaoke. A decently powered set of PC speakers would be fine for this.

Hello... the best option would be to the 'INPUT' of the PC Audio card with a RCA or 1/4" to 1/8" stereo adaptor, from the Mic mixer... then you can 'sub mix' the 'Mic Mixer' Audio Level with the original Windows/karaoke software APP Audio, thru your HDMI connection to the TV.

Mic is plugged into the tv, not into his computer.

He is also using chromecast to stream to the TV, no a HDMI connection form PC to TV.
Chromecast only pushes what is in the browser anyways..

Chromecase can now push the entire desktop. And yeah, it'll have to go into the TV, or as other suggested a separate speaker I guess since PC is in a different location.
