Hello,

I'm planning on building a media closet where I can store all my A/V equipment, including my HTPC. I have an unfinished basement, so I'm planning on running a single HDMI cable down the basement and up to the closet. Is there a 4x2 HDMI switch that you recommend where quality is not lost? I'm looking at about 20ft distance between the equipment and TV.

Also, can you recommend a composite switch for RCA cables? Ideally, one that has multiple composite in with one HDMI out (I can then put that HDMI out in the 4x2 HDMI switch).

Thanks.

Solution
Amp receiver is probably the most effective and easiest way as it comes with preamp and distribution unit.

or this one which is in PAL but you can probably find one in NTSC - http://www.thenerds.net/ATLONA.Lenexpo_AT_HD580_Video_Scaler.ATHD580.html?affid=31

All the above units are just an examples that'll give you an idea of what you're looking for in where you might find somewhere else in different brand name and prices.
