hdmi to vga conversion with sound

my projjector ic NEC company model NP40 want to connect my laptop windows 8.1 to it. but laptop has only HDMI port and projector has only VGA port. also there is no sound output port in the projector . how to get audio? plz help.

Hi,

The only way to go there is to use a HDMI to VGA adapter for your laptop to work with it. And for your sound I guess just use the built in speaker of your laptop and it should work. Right click on the speaker icon on the bottom right hand corner and select Playback Device and make sure speaker is set default.
