Solved! Hdmi Y cable to split ps3 signal one at a time?

I was wondering if I could use a hdmi y cable to split a ps3 connection to my computer monitor that has a 5 foot cable and to my hdtv with a 25 foot cable. Of course only one device will be used at one time, tv when I can monitor when I have to.

they don't make a y cable as it is a bi-directional digital signal. You would have to use an HDMI switch box. They make all sorts of them from cheap cheap to expensive and solid. Here are just a few.
