Headphone Consfusion- Open or Closed?

I am planning on buying some beyerdynamic DT770s, DT880s, or DT990s. I know the difference between open and closed, but I have no experience. My setup is in the middle of our living room, right behind the couch, with a kitchen right behind me, and I want to know if I get open headphones, will everyone hear it? A little sound getting out would be fine, but if you would be able to hear it fairly clearly from about 3-5 feet away, I can't do that. Would semi opens be okay, if full open isn't?

i had open--and yes everyone could hear it when i was gaming--no idea about semi open i changed to closed
