my ltb headphones they are using a usb connection and it keeps cutting in and out, i'm losing power to them, and I've tracked the problem to the strain relief, i can twist and bent it a little and it works, any suggestions on how to fix this problem properly, i have opened them up and there are no cut or exposed wires.

my apology it's the strain relief that enters the headset, not the usb end

if when you twist/bend the wire and it works typically this points towards a broken wire (the wire is typically broken inside the rubber sheathing so it wouldnt be visible). this most often happens when the wires are bent sharply or from repeated strain. since it seems like you narrowed it down to this, i would say this is your issue.

if you know where the break is, you could just replace the end by cutting the cable before this point and adding a new plug such as http://www.adafruit.com/products/1390 if you arent sure how it comes wired up you could always dissect the current end and check if its different than standard http://image.pinout.net/pinout_USB_files/usb-pinout-diagram.gif
