Solved! Headphones not showing up ANYWHERE

Long story short, I turned on my PC today and my headphones just weren't working. I hadn't unplugged them, I hadn't messed with any settings or drivers, they just weren't working. They're HyperX Cloud Alphas and I was just using them last night perfectly fine. I tried switching from the case jack to the on board jack and still nothing. All I get is a quiet high pitched frequency. I plugged them into my phone and they work 100% fine no problem at all. The weirdest part is that they are no longer in playback devices, device manger, etc.

Edit: They now appear in the device manager, etc. however no output sound is working. I'm not using them from the rear port.

Unfortunately that's been done.

unplug power and
reset the BIOS by jumper clearCMOS

eventually reflash/update the BIOS within BIOS using an USB flash drive

I just did that, but as of right now I can't flash the BIOS. I don't have a flash drive. Is there anything else you can recommend?

try booting with a live DVD e.g. Ubuntu and have a look if audio is working there

I flashed the BIOS today and still nothing. I don't know if I'll be able to boot that, though. Don't have a DVD drive.
