I have been looking around hours, Trying to see what I should buy.. Let me just explain my motherboard onboard sound is fried so I have to use a usb to 3.55m and I have bought so many of those usb to 3.55m and they always break, So then I looked at sound card that you hook your headphones up to and then on the side you run a usb to your computer. Almost all of those boxes had problems and people complaining about reviews. Right now what i'm running is a RCA to 3.55m from the back of my receiver which I have headphones hooked up to, And I need something that will run from the back of the receiver with Rca to 3.5m that I already have, but to usb so I can transfer it to my computer to get sound.
So far I'm using a logetich driver usb to get sound but the bass is off by a lot and need something that will give me better sound. That won't cost a arm and a leg, Just something easy that will give me fair sound..

I was looking at the audio technica usb to 3.5mm but people were saying that the plastic breaks and starts having problems after just a couple months.
So what should I do?

Some will have better DACs and headphone amps able to drive higher impedance lower efficiency headphones. The ones that look like USB sticks might not take the mechanical strain of protruding from the computer and having a headphone cable connected without some care taken so the ones that have their own cabinet won't have this issue.
