Solved! headphones sounding distant

okay ive seen someone else ask about this but it didnt help. so my headphones are bluetooth wireless. they keep (only happended today!!?) sounding like theyre humming and every time someone says somethin through them it sounds like a brushing sound, they sound distant. i can reconnect them they work normal for a few seconds then theres a beep and they just start doing this. idk what to do is it that theyre just old? i use them for my school primarily so i need help asap

Could be failing, as long as you are close to the transmitter so no distance issues. If in warranty get them exchanged. Headphones are cheap even for decent quality.
