A few days ago I purchased a new Cyber Acoustics 2.1 Computer Speaker with Subwoofer system from Amazon. After a few hours I started to notice that back on my main gaming headset (Sennheiser Game Zero) that there was an occasional buzzing noise that sounded almost like a tazer going off. This sound can be heard both by myself and others that I am in a voip with.
I have searched all over the internet for solutions but have yet to come up with any reason why it is buzzing. What is interesting is that I have plugged my headset into my phone via the same cable and the sound is not made.
Things I have tried:
- Blowing out the ports where the jacks go into the pc (it is not a usb headset)
- Switching from my sound blaster Z sound card to my on board audio
- Unplugging the surround sound system completely
- Trying another cable on my headset (same issue)
- Unplugging the microphone jack and the buzzing still happen.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
