Solved! Headset connecting= hard pc reset

So this is stupid but when I plug in my mic cable into the back panel and my pc detects it as a mic cable, the pc freezes and I get a hard reset but when I plug it into the front panel everything is fine but sound quality isn't as good. This problem started happening recently as I was using my headset just fine when everything was plugged in back panel

Sounds like something is shorting at the back. If the front is OK
