Headset Crackles, only in PC

Hi all, recently purchased a Giotek HC2+ Headset. All great, however audio on my PC crackles through them. Naturally I tested them in another device. Listened to a couple songs on my phone and they sounded great!
OK, so its not the headset. Naturally its time to test my headphone jack. So I pulled out my JVC earphones and test them in my PC. Sounds great!
So now I'm confused. Am I doing something wrong? Any help appreciated.

Could be just the two plugs happen to be mis-aligned. If you computer has front and rear jacks, try both. Also sometimes bending the cable a certain way can make a connection cut in and out or rub, check if when you have them in the phone and in the PC the cable is about in the same type of shape when it drapes.
