Headset with mic and 1 jack not working on 1 jack laptop

I know this question has been asked many times, but none of the answers I found helped me.
I have an ozone headset with mic that has only 1 jack and my laptop has 1 jack input as well, but when I plug it in, the mic isn't recognized.
Using windows 10, realtek audio drivers and even tho I can choose either speakers, mic, headphone, headphones, when I plug it in, none of those make the mic work at the same time as the headset itself.
Is there any chance my laptop doesn't support both simultaneously?
