Hello, I have an asus x550c that a few days ago had some drops of water on it so now it won't power on. The orange light from the battery is on, when the charger is plugged on.

I believe that the keyboard is broken, so is there anyway to power on the machine without one ?
And is there a way to clean the keyboard?
Thanks !

Hello adrianthefixer

If the keyboard of your laptop is broken, I don't think you can boot it. Although you can always try hard resetting your laptop to check if that helps, I would recommend that you get the keyboard replaced as soon as possible and DO NOT try to power on the laptop before replacement to avoid any further damages to its circuit.

You can buy a new keyboard for your Asus X550C from here.

Also, if you are unsure how to replace the keyboard, your best bet would be to visit a nearest Asus service center and let the professionals take care of the issue.

Hope this helps. :)
