Help choosing a gaming laptop

Hi, firstly thanks for your time.
So I’ve already tried one laptop which was the ASUS FX-503. However when I got it it was very slow. In normal activity like browsing the screen kept freezing and in gaming it wasn’t too bad but still not great. What I was wondering about is how the cpu was under 100% load nearly all the time (i5-7300HQ) while the gpu (1050) was under virtually no load. I have chosen my gpu to render the graphics through the nvidia control panel however in it still says my integrated cpu graphics are outputting the display. When I researched it I found out that it’s because it is wired to the display so I can’t change that. Is this true for all laptops? Are there any laptops below £700 that don’t have this? Or does this not impact performance? The game ran smoothly at 60fps however it kept freezing every like 5 seconds for a second and when it did the cpu jumped to max load. So I think the issue was there, as in browsing and gaming it was the cpu causing issues. I’m not sure if it’s this laptop model or just this specific one I got because it is refurbished. But I will return it and I’ve already looked at 2 other options.

The first one is the ASUS TuF FX 504:

My worry with this is that if it’s the model line not the specific device that caused the problem with the 503 then the 504 might have the same issue. However this one is new not used and has a few better features like a better cpu and 120hz display (which if it works properly I would really like as in my opinion it makes a huge difference and in games like csgo I should be able to hit it with ease)

The other option is the Dell G3:

If you think it’s the model line that caused the issue in the current laptop this might have to be my option. It has nearly the same specs as the ASUS 504 except it’s more expensive and has an only 60hz display. So if you think it was only the specific laptop I recieved that caused this issue I would prefer the 504.

If you have any other recommendations I would love to hear them. Thanks so much for your time :)
