I'm currently looking to buy a first HDTV and I'm looking at mid-range models at max 800$ since I don't watch tv that much

(usually less than 2 hours a day, even on weekends) but I still want to upgrade from my old CRT. I've seen two models on

sale this week:

Insignia NS-46E570A11 46in LED-LCD 120Hz 4 Hdmi
http://insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-46E570A11.html

LG 47LK520 47in LCD 120Hz 3 Hdmi
http://www.lg.com/ca_en/tv-audio-video/tv/LG-lcd-tv-47LK520.jsp

I first got the Insignia model, since LED is supposed to be better than LCD, but since I got it home I have strong buyer's

remorse for going for a cheap house brand. Picture quality was ok but I really loved the 120Hz fluid motion from my pc dvd.

Then I got the LG to compare and as soon as I opened it I was "wowed" by the picture quality of my standard cable (I didn't

received the HD box yet) over the Insignia one. However, one drawback is that I cannot turn the 120Hz mode on pc vga as I

did for the other one and this is a big downer because I loved it. Also, playing a movie from my PC DVD seemed "less HD"

than the Insignia one, like less sharp.

Insignia:
+ LED, 120Hz over vga, sharper picture
- House brand, some jittering or flickering in some scene with camera pans

LG:
+ Better overall picture processing, More known brand, Better "I'm at theater" feeling
- LCD, No 120Hz over VGA

So I'm wondering if you guys have an opinion on which model would be the better long performer since I have no experience in it.
