Help Decide Between Samsung and Sony

I have been looking at new TVs for my family room. Would appreciate any suggestions on the following choices as I am having a hard time deciding:

Samsung UN48H6350
Sony KDL48W600B
I know the Sony is only 60hz and the Samsung is 120hz. But I have been to two stores to compare the pictures and I can't tell the difference. Any suggestions? The Sony is much less expensive.

If I can make a 50" fit, then I am very intrigued by the Sony KDL50W700B. It is only available at Best Buy; elsewhere its a KDL50W800b, more expensive and includes 3d, which I do not want. So, any thoughts on the 50W700B compared to a Samsung 50H6350?

I prefer Sony over Samsung HDTV's in general.

I'm trying to get a feel for these exact two myself and finding it difficult to get a straight answer. Most reports I've seen regarding the 60 vs 120 hz refresh rate say the 120 is mostly hype and marketing. I'd love to hear from others who have experienced both or own one or the other.

I find that 120 Hz for a TV is total hype, and 240 Hz is even more so. When I view them side by side I do not see any difference.

In the end we ended up buying the Sony KDL50W800B. We love it. We never use the 3D. But we love the TV otherwise.
