Help finding a quiet light laptop that can play CS:GO for around $800

The SSD on my Acer M5-581TG I bought a few years ago broke down (had to reformat everything onto the HDD) and I'm looking for a replacement laptop preferably around $800 or lower.

I already have a desktop that I game on, but I want to at least play low-demand games like CS:GO or Minecraft on max settings smoothly (80FPS?), since I'll probably be taking the laptop on trips as a mini-gaming rig. I also do some programming on GameMaker, and will probably be taking a computer science class next year (doing Javascript stuff).

I'm looking for a decent GPU (able to max out CSGO), good CPU and at least 6GB of RAM (8GB is ideal). Matte screen would be great, TN or IPS doesn't matter. I don't really need an SSD as long as the laptop can boot in under a minute.

What's most important to me is size, weight, and sound. Since, I'll be carrying this thing around, I need something about 1in or shorter to fit into my backpack, and something around 5lb or less. I'll also be using this in a quiet classroom, and can't have the fan whirring when I'm only watching youtube videos like my current laptop.

Right now I'm considering getting this:

Acer V15 Nitro

..but it's a little bit over my budget, and I don't really like the look of a Lenovo Y50 (looks too tacky with the speaker grills). I also checked out the HP Omen 15, but I read a lot of negative reviews on its idle fan noise (it's also way over my budget).

Any suggestions?

The Y50's speaker grills make it look really tacky for me; do you have a second or third best option other than that?

Can't say I agree, but depending on how much you care about heat & noise the aspire series is popular

Though I feel it isnt a good idea to put looks ahead of price/performance, an alternative could be the lenovo y70? it has slightly weaker specs...

I agree, but it's still an 860M which is sufficient for source games and even things like Skyrim, Bordelands or Bioshock

True enough, and for CSGO and minecraft, you'll do fine.
