I want to run a second HDMI line out of a cable box to a second tv(approx 35ft away). I'm told HDMI cannot handle long runs and a splitter might make the single bad for both units.

Question
If I do this what equipment would you suggest and how should I do it?

Solution
Depending on qulaity of cable 35ft is starting to push it for HDMI, I would suggest an active cable (built in amplifier in it) to eliminiate issues.

A cheapo splitter can cause problems but any name brand model should work.

For cable and splitter if in USA or Canada I would suggest looking at monoprice.com (would suggest not getting the cheapest model of splitter from them though).
