For gaming, not without a dedicated video card.

This may be OK for games http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315165&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Laptops-_-N82E16834315165&gclid=Cj0KEQjwhN-6BRCJsePgxru9iIwBEiQAI8rq87JkO2f7eRJmFUd43go3XPzwHTQESFnM2lmi6JQSNxYaAl6Y8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds although a tiny bit over $600. At least the 950m card is decent for games at lower quality. Although Acer has a lower reliability rating then most other vendors. For the budget you really can't get anything other than that with a decent speed.

This has better quality but is nearing $700 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834232946

Keep in mind that you can't upgrade the laptop and what you get now will be what you use till you replace it. Given a laptop life of 3-4-5 years, you want to be looking at not what the laptop can run now, but what will it run in 3 years. In 3 years a low end game may be too much for your system to run, and your only way out is to sell it and buy a new one. If you spend a bit more now, at end of life it will still be usable.

Really for gaming, you are looking at an $800 range laptop with a 960m video card to be any good to get and be happy with, and that will still be OK in a few years.

My personal suggestion is my current laptop. It should be around 600 dollars but it's really good. It's an ASUS X550JX-XX129D
Specs are:
Intel i5-4200h processor(2.8 to 3.4 GHZ with boost, 2 cpus, 4 threads, comes with Intel HD Graphics 4600)
1TB 7200RPM Hitachi HDD
4GB Onboard ram and you can add an extra 8gb in the free slot
A dedicated nVidia GT950M(freaking amazing. you find this GPU on laptops with prices 800+. amazing find on this laptop)
I can play most older games on max graphics for 60FPS. I play games like Dark Souls 3 on max, fallout 4 too(but not 60FPS, of course, around 40). Witcher 3's tough though, I can only play it at high with 30 at most. from 20-30 fps.

I never tried but I heard this PC can go GTA V max graphics at 60. I saw benchmarks with Black Ops 3 at max at 40 FPS(while recording, so it may get even better stats without that). There's youtube videos for this exact model tested on various games, go look it up!

For games like TF2 and CSGO, I bet it can deal with them without too much trouble. With that budget I believe this laptop will serve you well for quite some time.
