Watching tv last night on my 50' Philips tv and it suddenly turned off and wouldn't turn back on... I tried unplugging, changed batteries, switching plugins, nothing still and i just got the tv... customer support said 3-5 business days we will get back to you.. anyone have any suggestions

I suggest you don't tamper with it and leave it up to the customer support. It could be a defective chip/board. Make sure it's still under warranty/return period.
