help please - iPhone 5C

my daughter threw my phone, then the screen went off but the backlite was still on. I then pressed and held home & sleep/wake buttons for 30 secs, now the phone doesn't go on at all. its not recognised on itunes either. what did i do?

Need to replace the phone, would likely cost more to fix it than replace it. No secrets to fixing a physically damaged phone.
