Help to choose right model in 3d tv

I am stuck between Samsung ES8000 55" Smart TV and LG LM LM6700 3D TV? Which is the better option to go for when buying for family viewing.

LG's passive 3D TV is much safer and cost effective as compared to Samsung ES series which use active 3D. Even though I feel the visual details on active 3D's is better, the problem is that you cannot enjoy it for a prolonged time period. In that context, LG's passive 3D TV scores as the viewing experience is much less taxing on your eyes and friendly to your pocket.
