Help to play a cd on my dell laptop please?

I got my dell laptop in 08 insiron combo. The glass broke, I'm ss disability and couldn't afford it. Today, it's fixed and I have a new cd I want to play, I've forgotten a lot. need help please. plus sixty. thanks.

What you have on that CD? Music? Movie? A Game? What is your Windows version?

Being from '08, your laptop should have at least DVD drive, check what is the lettering on the side.
