I understand in a Laptop you have to compensate because of how small it is. But I would Like some advice in buying a laptop where I can run CS:GO, Overwatch, Rainbow 6 and Pretty much most newer Fps. My budget is Preferably 800 but ill go $1000. I understand a building a desktop is easier yet i travel a lot I just enlisted in the army and I'm never home with future solider training work and a social life so id like to have a laptop. I can build one I've taken networking and computer classes I just need help with a spec list. Thank you! (In case anyone cares probably not but I enlisted as a combat medic specialist in the Army reserves. 68whiskey)

Perhaps go on newegg or amazon, search laptops, use a filter on specs, components. pick a top 3-5. you can get things quicker that way to remove subjective opinions & bias. most folks only have had 2-3 laptops in the past unless they absolutely go through the tech field. Then they find out that desktops are more convenient for productivity and performance, while tablets and smartphones are convienient for browsing, casual stuff, etc

But as you said, you travel a lot, so pick a laptop. once you have a top 3, copy & paste them here.
i think it's a waste of time to choose one for you. some like 15 inches, others like 17 inches. Some prefer gaming laptops with good heat dissipation (heavier with heatpipes and louder with fans). Others like...

Others like ultraportables that are 4 lbs and last 5-6 hours. Too many options. You have to pick top 3-4. Then we can go from there with alternatives and feedback/remarks.
