Help with connection on a plasma

I recently purchased a plasma thinking it was a tv. It has no hdmi port only vga and all kinds of other different ports. How could I get the monitor to play as a tv? Including sound

You want us to guess the make and model of the TV?
If it doesn't have a built in tuner you will need to buy one with the correct output to connect it. Or a cable box, DTV box, or media streamer depending on what your source of programming will be.
If it doesn't have build in speakers you will need to add some. What kind of audio outputs it has will decide which speakers you can use.
