Hello, im forced to sell my gaming station (amd 2600, gtx 960,8gb ddr4, ssd) at home, because ill be traveling a lot. Im gonna keep my 32” 2K screen at home and occasionaly use it when im home along with new laptop.
So my question is...Is the i7 8750h, gtx 1060, 16gb, m.2 ssd able to delivery same performance as my homestation(spec at the begging).

i dont have any experiences with gaming laptops as i was traveling only with my macbook now. Primarly i play WoW and heroes of the storm.

i wonder if 800$ more for gtx 1070 will make huge difference for me, if you see my station spec.

many thanks in advance
im kinda lost and ive seen whole youtube reviews but still no smarter :)

What is your budget on a laptop? Putting your setup in a small case may also be an option, but you would need to get a screen also to use with it.

If you will be using your laptop screen as the main setup, you may want to look into a 17" system. Depending on your budget, this would be good https://www.xoticpc.com/asus-strix-scar-gl703gs-ds74.html or https://www.xoticpc.com/msi-ge73-raider-rgb-012.html

Since you can't upgrade systems, if you can actually afford a 1070 card, that may be good if you plan on keeping this system for a few years.

Few things you need to watch out for, with a lot of travel, fancy laptop would be a target for theft, so you may want to look into some insurance for that and accidental damage and if you are...

For a good system with a good screen and an SSD, even a 1060 video card will end up being about $1,500, not too much from the 1070 cards. Again, if you are using the system with the laptop screen, you want a good quality screen, good RGB rating, maybe IPS for rich colors, high refresh rate is good.

Hey, thanks a lot!:)
ill be carrying it in bag, and insure it for sure.

The problem is that im from czech republic so the laptop msi ive chosen 17” for sure, but its 1800$ and with 1070 is 2500$ now...gaming laptops in our country are insanely expensive. Only thing i worry about is to laptop gimme at least same performance as my pc at home. So you think it should?

im planning to use it as stationary pc when im home along with my 32” 2k screen.
so Ill be happy if the laptop will outperform my pc a bit :)

right now is MSI GP73 8RE-444CZ Leopard 1650$ winning.

i7 8750H
16gb ddr4
gtx 1060
m2 ssd 128 + hdd 1tb (buying additional m.2 512gb for sure)

ill be happy if you find something better on www.alza.cz (they got english as a choice) i dunno if Msi is good choice, the price range is similar with acer and asus.

thanks in advance for your time guys !!:))

MSI and ASUS are both better than Acer. Seems your prices are a lot higher than where i was looking at, which is why it's a good idea to list your location and local pricing when asking for systems to pick from. That MSI model is as good as any others in that range.
