Solved! Help with laptop

Hello, the laptop I'm currently using is Asus TUF Gaming FX505-G

I have asked around a few other forums on help, most of them have given me the assured answered that it is due to my temperature in my laptop. I have done my own checking and my laptop max temperature for the CPU is almost 100 degree Celsius most of the time, GPU stays at a constant of 50-70 degree Celsius.

I need some help with keeping the temperature lower, as it is lagging my game a whole lot and I'm not able to play my game in peace with the amount of lag that it is giving. Note: Do take not that I did not have this problem when I first bought the laptop 2 years ago.

to have a look at your configurations and clock speeds, run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

eventually update the correct BIOS to your laptop. Is it the GD, GE or GM model?


if the CPU clock speed throttles , then clean the fans and reapply thermal paste to the CPU and eventually GPU.

Staying in the 90's is not unusual while playing a triple AAA game... were you playing that same game two years ago or is this something else? 50-70 is a bit high for resting temp, unless it is a warm operating environment.

In addition to what helpstar is saying, I would also consider undervolting if allowed with throttlestop. Maybe cleaning the fans will do it...
