my computer has speakers can I somehow put them to go use?

You probably need a minijack to minijack (headphone type plug) stereo lead to run from the audio out socket on your computer to the input socket on the monitor. Then enable sond ans set volume to max in monitor's On Screen Display. Set level in Windows.
