Hi.
Recently, I bought two HGST, HUA723030ALA640 used hard drives from ebay. When I tested the speed, I got the following from CrystalDiskMark:
Reading: ~150MB/s
Writing: ~15MB/s.
why is the reading speed ten times faster than that of writing?
on the label it only states: [sata].
Not like my other Hitachi drive (~150 MB/s for both writing and reading), which on the label states: [sata 6.0 Gb/s].
is it possible that [sata 6.0 Gb/s] stands for the 3rd generation of the interface
[sata] stands for the first generation of the interface.
My assumption does not explain why the Reading speed is on par ~150MB/s.
thanks for your help.
