hi having problems with unlocking my Iphone5 because it is saying I should see a update screen when resetting for a forgotten

Hey I need back up support for an Iphone5 unlock for forgotten passcode. My phone is currently disabled and I backed up to itune support but it is telling my I need to have a screen that says to update my phone and I am not getting that screen at the moment?
Can anyone tell me what I need to follow to get to a screen like that please.
