I'm having a hard time trying to set up my Samsung home theater to my Lg smart TV plzzzz help

Please always post model numbers. Otherwise we are only guessing.
Is the problem connecting them together?
Different solutions for different models.
1. HDMI ARC (uses same HDMI cable from HTS to TV). Has to be available in both and turned on.
2. Optical audio out (uses optical audio cable).Sometimes has to be turned on, TV speakers turned off, and audio type changed in TV menu.
3. Analog audio / headphone out. Connects to Aux input on HTS.
If you don't have matching output and input then a converter would be needed.
