My Hitachi TV picture wont come on, there is a faint picture like a ghost picture in the back ground. I did switch the tv of for a week and switch it back on again but the problem is still there. Can anyone help me to fix the problem.

Sounds like the backlight that illuminates the screen is not working. Could be the inverter that powers the light or if the TV has LEDs some of them could be bad. You can google the model number and backlight not working to get some details. Not a diy repair in general.
