Hitachi tv only shows picture on one side. Other side is blue screen

Solution
That could be a sign of an internal cable that got disconnected. Or the signals going to that side of the panel aren't getting there, could be a bad mainboard.

If you are comfortable taking the TV apart, check for loose connectors.

Depending on the price of this TV, they often are not worth the cost of labor for repairs. 55" might be worth it, but it would be borderline.

or you have a 4k tv and a regular video cable.
how is the device connected? dvi, hdmi ? what kind of cable is used?
you would have to spec out the model of the tv, the model of the gpu and which connections is being used.
also the expected resolution. you should also tell use the type of cable.
(high res cables will have more wires/connectors)
