Hook up instructions for a Vizio D24-D1 TV to a Sony DVD player DVP-SR210P

I have a Vizio D24-D1 TV and a Sony DVD player DVP-SR210P I have red white and yellow composite cords but I have no idea how to hook them together

You made a really bad choice in a DVD player. Most DVD players would connect via HDMI. That one doesn't have HDMI.

Your TV does have component input R/G/B for video and R/W for audio. Use the five RCA plugs on the TV and the same RCA plugs on the DVD player.

I didn't get a new DVD player this one is my old one because the one I bought a couple of months ago stopped working.

Using component video plus audio will give you a better picture but if you just want to get it connected with the cables you have then check the TV manual. The component video+audio input is likely to be a shared input that you can use for composite video.
