Hooked firestick into receiver and sound plays fine, but lost audio on TV

Just picked up a firestick and it works great plugged into my yamaha receiver (RX-V477)

Problem is, if I just hit the home button on my remote to use my regular smart TV (OLED65C7P) apps like youtube etc, I can't get sound through the receiver anymore, and have to change to internal speakers.

Not a techie so really not sure what's going on but I definitely don't want to have to switch from internal back to receiver all the time. Any ideas?

Did you change the input on the receiver from the one you have the firestick connected to the one that you have assigned to TV audio? Make sure that it's still set correctly in the receiver input menu.
Make sure that the TV audio output is still turned on.
Last try turning off CEC in the TV menu.

Got it working! Looked up my TV's manual and I simply had the HDMI cable plugged into a standard slot instead of the ARC slot. Transfers seamlessly between regular smart TV apps and firestick with audio all coming through receiver. Thanks!
