Hooking up a VCR to a Samsung tv

I have a 2002 Sanyo VCR & DVD player & would like to hook up a new samsung tv. Plugins are different. Will it work?

You may need to buy adapters but yes it should work. Would help if you posted exactly what connections your DVD player has and what connections your TV has.
