Solved! Hooking up an SAE 5000 to preamp/reciever.

Does anybody have the manual for an SAE 5000??? If so, could you snap a picture of the hookup diagram and post it? I am only using this with a turntable, not a tape unit.

Dunno but I imagine u INSERT this thing between turntable and receiver? LINE_IN to LINE_OUT?

turntable ----- (phono preamp if needed)------>(LINE_IN) SAE (LINE_OUT) -----> Receiver.

BTW, u should be able to use software to replicate what the SAE does.

You can't connect the turntable directly to the 5000 unless it has a built in phono preamp or you use an external one.
Other options depend on whether the preamp/receiver has a tape monitor loop, processor loop, or preout/amp in.
It could also be connected in between a preamp and amp but that would be the worst option.
