Horizontal line 3/4 down on Hitachi hd 1080

Horizontal line just showed up on plasma Hitachi hd 1080. What does this indicate?

what happens when you watch DVD, or other video, not TV
is the line still there? is it a faint line?
one thing that will do it is signal overload (too strong) from the cable company
disconnect the cable, is the line still there?

I hope that I needed to place quote...have never viewed this type of reply.

Thank you for replying. The line went away after 3 days. I will notify my cable company of possiblity of signal overload as you suggested. I am not happy with this cable companay because the pic freezes or goes offline frequently. Again, thank you and if the line problem happens again, I will disconnect to remedy.
