Hello,
Whenever I wake up my laptop from sleep mode, these little horizontal lines appear. They only appear on the screen itself, like when i hover over an icon, it clears up the lines in that area. Also, when another window is open, it clears the lines in that area as well. Below is a picture:

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I know the thread is a few months old, but I seem to be getting the same issue on my laptop (although it is easily "fixed" by refreshing the screen), I'd still like to see if there was a more permanent solution.

I'm on an Acer Aspire 5742-6693, i5 480M.

I have a asus intel i5 laptop and it does the same....just right click the desktop and click refresh and it goes away for me...but just wondering....what laptop brand and processor do you own>

I'm having the exact same issue on my gateway. It's still under warranty, but it really doesn't bother me at all, and I don't want to deal with sending it in. Has anyone had this problem get worse? Mines been doing it since May with no change in how often.

^ Reposting a thread found in a different section of the forum; hopefully this issue gets more exposure here.

Thats the latest drivers for the video portion of your processor.
If you can't reach it, google:
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows 7 15.22.52.2559

Also, are you using windows 7 32bit? I was assuming that you were, that driver is for 32bit.

This one is for 64bit:
