how a laptop run by electricity without battery?

Can I run my laptop with electricity without using battery after plugging in the fully charged laptop? I run my asus laptop like this and it displays information as"plugged in,not charging". What does it mean?

Yup. The power goes straight from the power supply to the laptop itself. You can even remove the battery (if the laptop has a removable battery) and it will keep running.
