You would have to go to Google Play Store and check that. If there is an option to change when they update, it would be in the settings once you are logged into Google Play Store.

You also have the option to turn off auto updates. This way you then can choose when you wish to update an app(s) and, in doing so, gives you the option to not install an update if you don't want it.
