Since your phone is using an older version of Android, you would not be able to save apps to the SD card. Now if you can upgrade to Android "Marshmallow", then you may be able to get it to work. I say may because some manufacturers have restricted this option, even if you are running "Marshmallow".

How to turn external SD card into internal storage on "Marshmallow".

4. Your SD Card will now be formatted as internal storage.
5. Reboot your phone.

NOTE: If you don't reboot the phone, many things may not work correctly, so make sure you do.
