How can i connect usb to a tv that does not have usb port

i have a tv that does not have a usb port and i do not know how to connect external drive with the tv

no usb port? no connecting of usb devices.

if you want to use the hard drive you would need to use some other device as the source such as a pc, roku or similar device that supports the formats on the drive and just use the tv as a display

Buy a media player with an HDMI output and a USB port. Connect a laptop via HDMI to the TV. Is this a "smart" tv that can access media over the network? Maybe connect the drive to the router.

You have to have some device that will convert your USB to an input the TV does have.
