How can i get the acer boot disk?

hello i have acer aspire 5742.it stopped working and says that it needs a boot disk.shall i download the boot disk on another laptop and use it in this one?does anybody know the solution for this problem?thanks

That could mean it's possible your hard disk has failed or that you have some type of virus or malware infection.

You can create a CD/DVD boot disk using another computer. And you also put other tools on that CD/DVD.
