Solved! How can I modify a motion sensor solar light to stay on longer (not battery issue)

I bought a Bell + Howell light, originally for myself, but wound up giving it to mom to help illuminate her backyard when the dogs are out

It works fine, except it only stays on for 30 seconds when motion is detected!
Does not appear to be a standard way to change this in some setting, but was wondering if I could by opening it up?
prefer 2-5 minutes on before turning off

Unless there is a setting or switch for this, I doubt you can change it.

That "30 seconds" would be hard coded into whatever chip controls it.

Doubtful.
And if it were, it would be far more expensive and hassle than just getting a different light.

I have a couple that I think are adjustable. 1-5-10 minutes.
