How can I setup my Vizio TV, with Samsung soundbar and then connected to the cable company's DVR. Right now if I turn off the TV off the sandbar and dvr all of them get shut off.
I need a way to just turn the TV off and leave soundbar and dvr left on.
Every component is connected using HDMI cables. Also we had to install an optical cable for routing NETFLEX sound back to the soundbar..............Scott

It might be a CEC problem where devices are linked and controlled through HDMI. Try turning this option off if your TV has it.

Menu>Settings>CEC
