how do i connect a hdmi to dell laptop 8470

I have a Sony TV with HDMI input and a Dell Laptop 8470P with a VGA connector. What do I need to connect the laptop VGA to the TV HDMI on the TV?

well a VGA to hdmi exists , you can try that,

usually i use a hdmi to dvi or hdmi cable to connect my laptop to my TV/computer
