I've purchased a lavalier mic (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016C4ZG74/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

and Audio technica headphones (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HVLUR54/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

I would love to combine the 2 so I can make calls, video's, and use voice chat while playing games.

However my laptop (DELL XPS 13) only has a single 3.5mm headset jack. So it supports a regular headset that comes with every smartphone but it is causing a problem for me now.

I have found splitters like these: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-headsets-separate-headphone-microphone/dp/B004SP0WAQ but I'm not sure if it'll work (as the reviews are mixed, it works for some and it doesn't work for others).

I suppose it has to do with the TRRS system. How can I connect the mic and the headphones to my laptop without losing audio quality at any point?

Thanks in advance!
